It is used to create space for growth and improve your jaws position. Once you finish and most of the permanent teeth have erupted, you will be ready for Phase II if necessary.<\/p> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\t <\/div>\n\t \t<\/div>\n\t\t <\/div>\n\t \n\t<\/div>\n\t\n\t\t\n\t Phase II – comprehensive orthodontic treatment – involves full braces when all or most permanent teeth have erupted. It can also include a palatal expander or distal jet. You should wear your retainers for 20 hours a day for the first 4 months. After that, you will only wear them at night.
